At Jackson Christian, Generosity isn’t just a value tucked into the mission statement—it’s alive in the hallways, visible on the walls, echoed in the announcements, and worn proudly by every student learning to live generously.
This year, Jackson Christian has taken a bold and beautiful step in shaping the hearts of their students by embracing the Generous Students program—not as an add-on, but as a cornerstone of their culture-building efforts.
It Starts with What Students See
Walk through the doors of Jackson Christian and you’ll notice it immediately: bright, engaging posters reminding students to lead with Generous Thoughts, speak Generous Words, and offer Generous Time,
Attention, and Influence. These aren’t just decorations; they’re daily invitations to live out The 7 Ways of Living Generously. Each poster acts like a mirror, asking students, “What kind of person do you want to be today?”
Postcards That Make an Impact
Teachers and staff are catching students in the act of kindness and sending home Generous Student postcards—little notes of encouragement that carry a big message: “We see you. What you do matters.” It’s a simple but powerful way to connect school and home and reinforce that generosity is something to be celebrated.
Announcements That Inspire
Daily announcements at Jackson Christian don’t just share schedules and lunch menus—they spotlight stories of students who are living generously. Whether it’s a middle schooler who gave up a recess to help a younger student or a high schooler organizing a donation drive, these shout-outs keep generosity front and center.
Serving the Community, Together
Jackson Christian students aren’t just learning about Generosity in the classroom—they’re practicing it in the community. From food drives to service projects, students are putting their generous beliefs into action. Whether it's penny wars, making blankets or a food drive, students are learning that real Generosity happens when we look beyond ourselves.
A Culture Worth Building
Culture doesn’t happen by accident. It takes vision, consistency, and heart. At Jackson Christian, the choice to integrate Generous Students into everyday life is paying off. Students are learning that Generosity isn’t about how much you have—it’s about how you live. They’re seeing that small acts can spark big change. And they’re growing into young people who know that character is just as important as curriculum.
So Much More to Come
Posters. Postcards. Announcements. Service. And this is only the beginning. With every story shared, every act of kindness noticed, and every heart touched by Generosity, Jackson Christian is building something that will last far beyond the school year—a culture of Christ-like character and compassion that will impact students for a lifetime.
Jackson Christian, we see you. What you’re doing matters. And we’re so grateful to be part of the story.
