March into Literacy with Generous Students

At Generous Students, we believe in the power of reading to shape both minds and hearts. Literacy isn’t just about learning to read—it’s about unlocking a world of knowledge, creativity, and Generosity. That’s why we’re passionate about helping students grow as readers while also learning how to live generously in The 7 Ways.

Why Literacy Matters
Reading is a gift, but not everyone has the same access or ability. Right now, 21% of adults in the U.S. are illiterate, and more than half read below a 6th-grade level. Strong literacy skills open doors to education, confidence, and opportunity. We want every child to experience the joy of reading—whether through Scripture, inspiring stories, or engaging discussions—so they can grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Reading in Generous Students
Through Generous Students, we encourage children to dive into Scripture and meaningful books that teach the importance of kindness, compassion, and giving. We believe that reading stories that model Generosity can help students not only strengthen their literacy but also develop a heart for others.

Bringing Stories to Life
One way we bring Generosity to life is through the Generous Kids Book Club. These books reinforce the values we teach in Generous Students K-2 program, helping kids see Generosity in action in a way that’s fun and relatable.

A Gift for Every Classroom
When we invest in literacy, we invest in the future. That’s why we are committed to making reading a core part of Generous Students—because strong readers become strong leaders, and generous hearts make the world a better place.
