Some stories are so powerful they don’t just inspire—they move. They cross state lines, enter classrooms, and spark something deep in the hearts of students. That’s exactly what happened when Delanie Dennis, a young girl with a big heart and an even bigger mission, connected with the students at Christian Fellowship this week.
Delanie’s story began with something simple: a lemonade stand. Through her efforts, she has raised over $170,000 for animals, proving that even the smallest act of Generosity can create a huge impact. But it wasn’t just about selling lemonade—it was about living generously. With every cup she sold, Delanie was on a mission to make a difference. Her heart for giving turned a small act into a movement, proving that Generosity isn’t about the amount of money you have but about the thought and mission God places on your heart.
A group of 20 11-year-old students in Missouri had the chance to meet Delanie after learning about her in the fifth grade Generous Students program. They set up a virtual meeting and had the chance to ask questions, learn about her journey, and see firsthand what it means to live generously. It wasn’t just a lesson—it was an experience. They saw that Generosity isn’t limited to adults or those with financial resources. It’s for everyone, at every age, and it starts with a willing heart.
This is why Generous Students was built—to show kids that living generously is possible right where they are.We are more than a curriculum; we are educators on a mission to change the world one story, one lesson, one activity at a time.
Whether it’s through kind words, time, thoughts, attention or even a lemonade stand, Generosity can take many forms. It’s not about what you give; it’s about the heart behind it.
Delanie’s visit left an impact that will ripple far beyond the walls of that classroom. Her story reminds us all that Generosity is contagious, and when one person chooses to live generously, it inspires others to do the same. As Delanie says, 'Any kid can change the world, and it doesn’t have to be a lemonade stand.'
So, what’s your lemonade stand? What’s the mission God has placed on your heart? The world is waiting for the impact of your generosity—big or small.
Let’s keep the movement going!
